Salvation

The most important question you will ever be asked is: “Why should God let you into His heaven?” Your answer will determine where you spend eternity. We need to know: Heaven is a free gift, it cannot be earned or deserved.

• Romans 6:23 – The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life

Although heaven is a free gift, there is a problem. Man has sinned, and because of this sin, he cannot save himself.

• Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

God solved this problem in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came, He died and paid for our sins and purchased us a place in heaven which he offers as a free gift. This gift of eternal life is received by opening the door of your life and allowing Jesus to come in.

• John 1:12 – To as many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God

To go to heaven, you must receive Jesus Christ by faith through prayer.

The Road To Salvation:

1. Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
2. Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3. John 1:12 – Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
4. 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
5. Revelation 3:20 – Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The following is a suggested prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
